Free credit promotion frequently asked questions

Who's eligible for promotional messages?

All Vodafone Pay as you go customers are eligible to receive our ongoing promotional messages, unless you've told us you don't want to receive marketing messages and have opted out.

As our promotional messages are sent at random to selected Pay as you go customers, you could receive one at any time by text or when you call our customer services.

What does the promotional message contain?

The promotional message you could receive from us will have an offer allowing you to redeem free credit or a free bundle ("free credit").

How do I redeem the free credit?

The promotional message you receive will include details on how you can redeem the free credit.

This could be:

  • Topping up by a certain amount
  • Spending some of your existing credit or bundle
  • Opting in to one of our propositions such as Vodafone Freebies
  • Buying one of our propositions such as Vodafone Big Value Bundles

We'll let you know how long you've got to redeem the free credit. We'll also send you a reminder, just in case you forget.

How long will it take for my free credit to be added?

Once you've followed the instructions on how to redeem your free credit, it'll be added to your account. It'll usually appear within 15 minutes, but can sometimes take up to 24 hours.

How long will my free credit last?

We'll let you know when your credit will expire in the promotional message, and this will start from the day it's added to your account. When the promotional period ends, we'll remove any unused free credit from your account. If there's no expiry date in the promotional message, your free credit will be available until you've used it all.

Can I have more than one free credit allowance on my account?

You can only have one free credit allowance on your account at any one time. It can't be used with any other promotional offer.

What happens if I top up when I have free credit on my account?

You will only start using your TopUp once you've used all your free credit, or it's expired.

Is there anything else I need to know about the promotion?

The free credit allowance can't be exchanged for cash and can only be used on the account it was issued to. We may amend, cancel or end this promotion at any time. If we do, we'll let you know as soon as possible.
