Register your interest prize draw (3 January to 15 January 2024)
By entering the Chicago Prize Draw described below (a "Prize Draw") you (the "Participant") agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions").
1. Promoter: Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey KT16 0RS.
2. The Prize Draw is open to UK (including Isle of Man and Channel Island) residents only, aged 18+. One passenger in the travelling party must be 21+.
3. Employees or agents of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected to the Promotion are not eligible to enter.
4. No purchase is necessary to enter.
5. The Prize Draw will open on 3 January 2024 and close at 12pm GMT on 15 January 2024 ("Prize Draw Period").
6. There are a total of five (5) Prizes available to be won in total (one prize per Participating Retailer), consisting of:
- a trip to Chicago for two (2) people for 5 nights sharing one (1) room with breakfast included
- return economy flights from London, Edinburgh or Manchester
- private airport transfers between the airport and accommodation
- UK departure taxes
- Travel insurance for all passengers
- 7-Day Unlimited Ride Chicago Travel Pass (CTA) for all passengers
- Observation Skydeck Admission Ticket for all passengers
- Dinner At a Historical Restaurant in Chicago (to the value of $100 per head)
Together known as (the "Prize" (s)).
7. The Prize carries no cash value, is non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
8. To enter, Participants must complete an entry form providing all requested information or sign up email sent to them by a Participating Retailer (found at Annex 1) an ("Entry").
9. Maximum of one (1) Entry per Participant per Participating Retailer.
10. The winner of each Prize Draw run by each Participating Retailer will be the Participant selected by their Participating Retailer who is selected at random from all valid Entries via that Participating Retailer at the end of the Prize Draw Period.
11. The winners from each Participating Retailer will be notified by their Participating Retailer via the telephone number and email address used at the time of Entry.
12. Winners will have ten (10) days from the date of notification to respond to the email from the Participating Retailer notifying them of their win to claim their Prize from the [Active Travel Agency Limited (the "Travel Agency"), after which each Participating Retailer will send each winner instructions to arrange their Prize with the Travel Agency.
13. In the event a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
14. The winner must follow the instructions in the email from the Participating Retailer and provide any requested information to the Travel Agency to arrange fulfilment of the Prize in-line with conditions 22-36 below.
15. The winners will be informed on or around 1 February 2024. Details of the results of the prize draw will be published on the Samsung website
16. By entering the Prize Draw, Participants consent to their personal information being used by the Promoter and the Participating Retailer for the purposes of operating this Promotion and acknowledge the Promoter reserves the right to publish the names and towns of residence of all winners. Participants reserve the right to withdraw their consent at any time by visiting Samsung's privacy page or by writing to the Promoter.
17. Samsung excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Prize Draw or with the acceptance or possession of any Prize.
18. All Prizes are subject to current tax laws, and may be considered to be a taxable benefit to those who have Participated and won.
19. Entry into the Prize Draw signifies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time.
21. These terms and conditions will be governed by English law.
Prize conditions
22. Dates of travel are from the 1 February 2024 to 31 December 2024 excluding travel over peak holiday periods including Christmas, New Year, Easter and UK Bank Holidays.
23. Winners will forfeit the prize if they fail to travel by 31 December 2024.
24. A minimum of sixty days' notice is required before the chosen departure date (final date to arrange the Prize is 5 August 2024).
25. Prize is subject to availability, has no cash alternative, is non-transferable and non-refundable.
26. Once confirmed, the dates cannot be changed.
27. At least one person travelling must be aged 21 or over. If winner is under 18 then at least one of his/her guest must be his/her parent or guardian.
28. The hotel is based on two people sharing one room.
29. The hotel will take a credit card pre-authorisation or cash deposit to cover any incidentals.
30. Winner and his/her guest are solely responsible for all other meals and expenses not specifically set forth herein.
31. Winner and guest travel at their own risk and, if for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including war, terrorism, state of emergency, pandemic, or any other kind of disaster, tampering or computer virus, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or suspend, substitute or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
32. Winner and his/her guest must have and are responsible for valid e-passports (biometric) and visas/permissions if applicable.
33. Winners and guest must observe at all times the Covid-19 restrictions and health and safety laws and regulations applicable to travel, hotel and activities. This may include, but not be limited to, testing requirements and/or proof of vaccination status. Winner and guest shall be responsible for ensuring that they comply at all times with any such restrictions and/or requirements in order to redeem the prize.
34. Any potential winner and their proposed guest will be required to sign a prize acceptance and release form in order to be eligible to win and/or participate in the prize.
35. Except for the one guest permitted to you as part of your prize, you are not allowed to bring any additional family members or guests on the Prize trip. Your guest may not be selected through any further contest, promotion or commercial event. You and your guest must travel on the same itinerary from the same airport. Once selected, your guest may not be changed without the express consent of the Travel Agency, which the Travel Agency may grant or withhold in their sole discretion.
36. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any competition, promotion, commercial event, contest and/or sweepstakes promotional materials and the terms and conditions of the so-called official rules, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail and govern. If the winner or any participant elects not to use an element of the travel package, such unused portion of the travel package will be forfeited.
