Bundle charges
There are bound to be times when your data allowance doesn't last. So we think it's a good idea to know in advance how much you'll have to pay if you want more. The charges shown on this page will apply once you exceed your data allowance or your allowance doesn't include the services listed in the UK or abroad.
Prices include VAT unless otherwise stated. See our website for more information about our services and current bundles.
Data usage
How do you know how much of your data allowance you've used? You can monitor your data usage by checking the dashboard (on your computer) or by logging into My Vodafone
When you're in the UK or travelling, we'll send you notifications when you're getting close to paying additional charges. For more information on the messages we'll send you and how to opt out, read our notification information
You may only use your SIM card in, or connect it to, modems, dongles, iPad, tablets and/or laptops. You may not use your SIM card in a phone or in any other mobile equipment which is not set out above. If you do, we'll ask you to stop and in persistent cases, we’ll suspend your service, restrict your use or speed, or charge you for unauthorised use.
Data charges in the UK
Each bundle comes with an individual data allowance (unless you’re on Red+ where it’s shared). If your allowance runs out and you want to use data, then you'll be charged at the rates described on this page.
Data usage will be counted even if our content control prevents you from looking at content.
UK data charge if you’ve used up your allowance
£6.50 for every 250MB (whether used whole or in part)
Data charges abroad
We've divided the world into zones which carry different charges. As zones and charges change from time to time, check our travelling abroad page before you leave.
Our charges are based on a calendar day and calculated in Greenwich Meantime (GMT). Even when you're abroad, they'll be based on GMT rather than the local time in the country you're in.
When you travel abroad data usage is rounded to the nearest MB for each day you use the service.
Text messaging in the UK and abroad

Text message costs will be shown on your bill as an additional charge.
Please note: if we're charged an admin fee from an international network operator for you to receive a text, we'll pass this charge on to you.
