Vodafone Flexi-upgrade

Vodafone Flexi-upgrade terms (from 11 April 2017)

Vodafone Flexi-upgrades are available to our Consumer and Small Business Pay monthly customers who enter into a new agreement on or after 11 April 2017 for Small Business, and 12 April 2017 for Consumer customers.

If you’re on a SIM only price plan or you have taken your agreement out with one of our distribution or VPS partners (for example, Carphone Warehouse, OneCom) you will not qualify for Flexi-upgrades. However, you may be able to upgrade at the end of your minimum period.

How it works

Check the start date of your Pay monthly agreement (this will be in your welcome letter or on your order form), and once you reach the end of six months you can call us on 191, find us on www.vodafone.co.uk or visit your nearest store to Flexi-upgrade. You’ll be able to do this up to 30 days before the end of your minimum period, at which point a standard upgrade will be available.

What do I have to pay?

You won’t have to pay an early termination charge; however, you’ll need to pay a Flexi-upgrade fee, this covers the cost of the Equipment subsidy. We have set out your Equipment subsidy in your welcome letter or order form. For some Small Business customers, your Equipment subsidy may not be set out in your welcome letter or order form. In these circumstances, we will notify you of the cost of your Equipment subsidy separately, before you are eligible to upgrade.

You can calculate your Flexi-upgrade fee as follows:

Equipment subsidy ÷ contract length (months) x contract time remaining (months)

You’ll also need to settle any outstanding charges on your original plan before you can upgrade.

What plans can I upgrade on?

You can upgrade to a price plan that has an equal or higher monthly price plan fee.

What happens if I cancel my Flexi-upgrade?

You can cancel your Flexi-upgrade at any time during your cooling off period (see our returns policy for more information). If you cancel, we’ll place you back on your original agreement and refund you the Flexi-upgrade fee. You’ll then need to see out your original agreement minimum period.
