Frequently asked questions
What happens if my phone can't be reused?
Devices that can't be reused will be recycled and any proceeds will go to a tech fund to buy devices for our charity partners.
How does The Great British Tech Appeal work?
We collect used smartphones and tablets that are donated with the help of our chosen charity partners.
People receiving a device will benefit from free calls, texts, and 40GB data each month for a total of six months, after which they can choose to stay with us as a customer or join another network.
The Great British Tech Appeal is different from Vodafone Trade In, where you can trade in your old device for money or other benefits.
The Great British Tech Appeal relies on individuals donating their used devices, which means you won't receive any money in return.

Before returning your device, please ensure you do a full reset of the device to its default factory settings. No data should remain on your device.
If relevant, please also remove any locks and disable any 'find my device' functionality such as Find My iPhone
If 'Find my device' is not disabled, we will not be able to process or donate your device.
