Check your sync speed

Our Ultimate Speed Guarantee is available to you if your sync speed is lower than our Superfast 1 minimum speed (25Mbps), or our Superfast 2 minimum speed (55Mbps). Find out if you're eligible by simply checking your sync speed in either of the following ways.

If you've downloaded the Vodafone Broadband app, follow these simple steps:

  1. Select the 'Info and Settings' option
  2. Your sync speed will be displayed at the top of the page
  3. If you qualify for the Ultimate Speed Guarantee, simply select the "claim" button

Typing 192.168.1.1 into the web browser will open your router's online portal. Then just follow these steps:

  1. Where prompted, enter the password: Vodafone (unless you've chosen your own)
  2. Once you're logged in, your sync speed will be clearly displayed by the image of the router.
  3. To claim the Ultimate Speed Guarantee please use Vodafone Broadband App

How broadband speeds are measured

Broadband speeds are measured based on the number of megabits (blocks of data) downloaded in a second. When you check the availability for an address with Vodafone, we'll give you four speeds:

  1. The estimated maximum download speed that your line is likely to achieve
  2. The estimated minimum download speed that your line is likely to achieve
  3. The Openreach Minimum Speed - if you are getting lower than this you may have the right to terminate your contract
  4. The Ultimate Speed Guarantee relevant to your chose package.

How do I claim money off with the Ultimate Speed Guarantee?

If your service meets all the above criteria then the Vodafone Broadband app will show the 'Claim' button in the Info and Support section under the 'Sync speed'. Simply select the button and we'll do the rest.

The credit amount will not be pro-rated and you will receive 15% of the monthly subscription cost off your Home Broadband package. The discount will not apply to Home Phone line rental or call charges. Any credit will apply to your next bill and will last until your sync speed increases or you change the package that you are on.

To qualify for the Ultimate Speed Guarantee discount, you must have been:

  • On an eligible tariff purchased after 1 March 2018
  • Had a Vodafone Home Broadband connection active for at least 10 days
  • Your sync line speed must have been checked in the Vodafone Broadband app and it should be lower than our Ulimtate Speed Guarantee (25Mbps or lower for our Superfast 1 package or 55Mbps or lower for our Superfast 2 package)

Terms and conditions

Ultimate Speed Guarantee: New and upgrading fibre customers only. If your sync speed is below the speed guarantee stated, you may be able to claim a discount. Claims must be made via the Vodafone Broadband app. If sync speeds cannot be achieved, a discount will be applied to your monthly price plan.
