How to switch broadband

Whether you're with BT, TalkTalk, Sky, or another provider, it's simple to switch to us.

Choose your plan

Depending on your provider, you may need to let them know you're switching.

Pick your installation date

Your equipment will arrive three days before your confirmed installation date.

Ready to go

On installation day, your switch will be complete. Any issues and you may get compensation.

Do I need to cancel my broadband before switching?

If your current broadband provider uses the same network that we do (we use Openreach and CityFibre), or you’re keeping your landline number the same, we’ll usually be able to let them know that you’re switching.

If you don’t choose to keep your number and your current provider uses a different network to us (i.e, you’re switching from Community Fibre or Virgin Media to Vodafone), you'll need to let them know. If you're unsure which network they use, please contact them.

When can I switch broadband providers?

You can switch at any time. However, if you’re in a fixed contract, you may have exit fees for leaving early.

Are leaving fees covered?

We'll help cover leaving fees of up to £100 if you choose our Full Fibre 900 plan.

We'll contact you within 30 days of your broadband activation with details on how to claim your switching credit.

This will be up to £100 of credit applied to your account. We won't cover leaving fees for other plans.

Frequently asked questions

If you took out a Full Fibre 900 plan and were charged leaving fees, you can apply for account credit to help cover them - up to £100.

Once your broadband is live and you've passed your 14-day cooling off period, we'll send an email with details about how to claim through an online form. From this date, you'll have 90 days to fill out the online form.

For more information, please see our terms and conditions

You'll need to provide us with a copy of your final bill showing the leaving fee charges and your old provider's account details.

Your previous provider will usually send you your final bill after your service has been cancelled, or it can be found on your online account.

We'll only send the email once the 14-day cooling off period has passed. If you still haven't received the email after this time, please chat to us.

Please check that you qualify. You needed to be in-contract with your old supplier and switch to our Full Fibre 900 plan.

Switching broadband providers doesn't cost anything. However, you may be charged by your previous broadband provider if your contract hasn't come to an end. It's best to check your current contract length if you're looking to switch. Contract lengths are usually 12, 18, or 24 months long.

We offer a range of broadband plans for what you need. Choose standard broadband plans and enjoy full fibre coverage, Intelligent WiFi that automatically optimises your connection, and no set-up fees.

If you want the fastest WiFi throughout the home powered by WiFi 6E, our new Pro II Broadband plans come with our Super WiFi 6E Booster and 4G Broadband Back-up to make sure you're always connected.

You shouldn't lose internet during the switch - usually, the internet from your current provider will only be switched off when we install your new connection.

If you're concerned, please check with your current supplier.

If something doesn't go to plan, you should let us know.

In the unlikely event that we’re late to connect your service on our confirmed activation date, you'll be automatically compensated until you're back online. There are other scenarios where you may be entitled to compensation.

Switching your broadband takes the same length of time as taking out a new contract. On your installation date, the switching process will be complete.

Yes, you can keep your old number. During the switching process, you'll have the option to choose this.

Usually, when you switch broadband, a request is sent to your current provider. Your previous contract should come to an end on the day your broadband is activated or installed. They should also contact you to confirm that your contract is coming to an end.

If you're with an alternative network provider like Virgin Media, Hyperoptic, or Community Fibre, let them know you're leaving and find out when your switch will happen.
