Switching broadband providers doesn't cost anything. However, you may be charged by your previous broadband provider if your contract hasn't come to an end. It's best to check your current contract length if you're looking to switch. Contract lengths are usually 12, 18, or 24 months long.

If you're concerned, please check with your current supplier.
In the unlikely event that we’re late activating your broadband service, you'll be automatically compensated until you're back online.
Switching your broadband takes the same length of time as taking out a new contract. On your installation date, the switching process will be complete.
Yes, you can keep your old number. During the switching process, you'll have the option to choose this.
When you switch broadband, we’ll send a request to your current provider and handle the changeover for you. Your previous contract should come to an end on the day your broadband is activated or installed. Your old provider should also contact you to confirm that your contract is coming to an end.
