iPhone Duo was announced on Wednesday 9 September 2026 and is available to pre-order on Friday 16 October 2026. It’s available to buy from Friday 23 October 2026. 

iPhone Duo has the largest display ever – 50% larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max. With its thin, foldable design, the outer display is a 5.4-inch all-screen OLED display. The 7.6-inch inner display is made of 10 ultra-thin layers with a custom nano‑texture finish that reduces glare and reflections, so you can enjoy an uninterrupted viewing surface even in bright sunlight. Wide-angle OLEDs allow for excellent viewing angles, and the ProMotion technology gives you up to 120Hz refresh rates.  

iPhone Duo features a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system. It includes a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide and 48MP Fusion Main camera, plus a 12MP Centre Stage front camera. It also has an under-display FaceTime camera for 1080p video. iPhone Duo is the only iPhone with certain unique camera features, including Smart Take for capturing hands-free photos automatically, Duo Preview for live previews on the outer display, and Kid Cue with playful animations to capture kids’ attention when you’re trying to snap a photo of them.  

iPhone Duo has an A20 Pro chip with the Dual 16‑core Neural Engine, and it is purpose‑built to handle intensive AI workloads. Combined with an advanced thermal management system with a vapour chamber, it’s perfect for demanding tasks and gaming sessions. Compared to iPhone 15 Pro, its 6‑core CPU is up to 50% faster, and its 7‑core GPU with Neural Accelerators is up to 2.1x faster.  

iPhone Duo has an iPhone-first unique dual-battery system to give you all-day power. Its eSIM-only design maximises physical space for battery capacity. Enjoy up to 31 hours video playback when using the inner display, and up to a huge 44 hours video playback when using the outer display. Like iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo is splash, dust and water resistant, but it’s not waterproof. It has an IP68 rating under the IEC standard 60529, which means that under laboratory conditions, it was able to safely withstand being under water at a maximum depth of six metres, for up to 30 minutes. 

iPhone Duo is built for advanced AI capabilities and comes with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI – the newly updated personal and powerful AI assistant from Apple. Ask Siri AI questions in back-and-forth conversations about anything that’s on your mind – from taking actions in apps like Messages, Music, Reminders or asking for travel recommendations. Siri AI can retrieve relevant information for you while you’re on a call with Call Context, communicate across languages with Live Translation and even provide feedback on what you’ve written.  

iPhone Duo comes in two beautiful colours: Star White and Night Sky.  

iPhone Duo comes in four different storage sizes: 265GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.  

iPhone Duo doesn’t have an Action button, but it does have a Camera Control button. It also has a side button, which has an inbuilt Touch ID fingerprint sensor. You can use this to open your phone, use it for Apple Pay and more.
