What is optical zoom?
Optical zoom is like the zoom lens you’d use on a professional film or DSLR camera. It’s different to digital zoom as it uses a physical camera lens movement to change the closeness to your subject and increasing focal length. The lens moves away from the image sensor, and your subject appears closer. If capturing high-quality far away subjects is important to you, you’ll benefit from having a phone with optical zoom.
