The Motorola Edge 70 Pro became available for purchase at Vodafone UK on 7 May 2026.

This launch marks a significant upgrade to the Motorola Edge 70, which was introduced in November 2025. The Edge 70 Pro offers substantial enhancements in battery capacity, processing power, display technology and charging speed.

Visit your nearest Vodafone store to check it first-hand.

Processor: The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Diversity 8500 Extreme – a powerful Octa-core chipset, featuring a sophisticated core arrangement:

      • 1x Arm Cortex-A725 running at 3.4GHz for peak performance tasks

      • 3x Arm Cortex-A725 running at 3.2GHz for demanding applications

      • 4x Arm Cortex-A725 running at 2.2GHz for everyday tasks and battery efficiency

This setup, paired with the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU handling all visual tasks like gaming and video playback, as well as 12GB RAM, ensures exceptional performance whether you’re gaming, multitasking or streaming content.

Display: The Edge 70 Pro features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Super HD (1.5K) display with 1272 x 2772 pixels resolution and an impressive 5200 nits peak brightness – making it easily viewable even in direct sunlight. The refresh rate goes up to 144Hz – this means the screen updates 144 times per second, making scrolling and animations appear smoother. The display supports HDR10+ for better contrast in videos, and it’s Pantone Validated for accurate colours. It’s also SGS-certified for low blue light, which helps reduce eye strain during long use.

Camera: The camera system comprises three 50MP rear cameras powered by Sony LYTIA™ 710 sensors:

      • Main camera: 50MP (f/1.88) with optical image stabilisation

      • Secondary camera: 50MP (f/2.06) for versatile shooting

      • Telephoto/ periscope camera: 50MP (f/2.88) with 3.5x zoom capability

Additional features include a 3-in-1 flicker sensor for natural lighting, autofocus, LED flash, and ultrawide/macro capabilities. The 50MP front camera (f/1.95) handles selfies and video calls. All cameras support 4K video recording at 30/60fps, with slow motion options at FHD 120fps and HD 240fps.

Battery: The Motorola Edge 70 Pro has a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery – one of the largest capacities available in a premium smartphone. It supports 90W TurboPower fast charging (charger sold separately) and wireless charging for convenient power top-ups.

Durability: The smartphone carries an IP68 rating, protecting it against dust and water submersion in up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for scratch resistance.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro offers several significant upgrades over the standard Edge 70:

      Performance:

      • Edge 70 Pro: MediaTek Diversity 8500 Extreme (up to 3.4GHz)

      • Edge 70: Snapdragon® 7 Gen 4

Both deliver powerful performance among mid-range smartphones, but the Pro model’s chipset provides enhanced processing power.

      Battery and charging:

      • Edge 70 Pro: 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W TurboPower™ charging

      • Edge 70: 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W TurboPower™ charging

The Pro model offers substantially more battery capacity and faster charging.

      Display:

      • Edge 70 Pro: 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Super HD (1.5K) with 5200 nits peak brightness and up to 144Hz refresh rate

      • Edge 70: 6.67-inch pOLED Super HD (1.5K) with 4500 nits peak brightness and up to 120Hz refresh rate

The Pro model features a larger, brighter display with a higher refresh rate.

Both models support 5G, dual SIM (nano-SIM and eSIM), wireless charging, and feature IP68 water resistance with advanced camera systems.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery – significantly larger than that of most smartphones on the market.

This battery capacity ensures you can:

      • Stream videos and browse throughout the day without concern

      • Game intensively for extended periods

      • Work on the go without worry

      • Use demanding applications with confidence

The generous 6,500mAh capacity works alongside the power-efficient MediaTek Diversity 8500 Extreme chipset to deliver up to 68 hours of battery life and up to 29 hours of continuous video playback.

Yes, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro supports 90W TurboPower™ fast charging for rapid battery replenishment, which, according to Motorola’s claims, can give you up to 12 hours of battery life in 6 minutes of charge.

You’ll need a charger capable of delivering 90W to get the fastest charging speeds. Check out Vodafone Accessories for compatible chargers for your Edge 70 Pro.

No, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro doesn’t come with a charger in the box. This has become standard practice across smartphone manufacturers as part of efforts to minimise electronic waste and reduce packaging.

The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, a protective case with a magnetic ring, a SIM ejection tool and a user guide – but no charging plug.

Visit Vodafone Accessories for suitable options.

Yes, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro has wireless charging capability for cable-free convenience. It supports 15W TurboPower™ wireless charging and 5W wireless reverse charging.

Wireless charging means you can simply place your phone on a compatible charging pad without plugging in any cables. This is handy for keeping your phone topped up on your desk or bedside table, and it also reduces wear on the charging port over time.

The Edge 70 Pro works with any Qi-compatible wireless charging pad. Browse Vodafone Accessories to find suitable wireless charging options.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro combines three AI platforms to deliver intelligent assistance throughout your day:

Moto AI – Motorola’s own artificial intelligence system, built into the phone for smart automation and personalised experiences based on how you use it.

Google Gemini – Google’s advanced AI assistant, deeply integrated into Android 16. It helps with tasks like writing, research, and organising information, making everyday activities more efficient.

Perplexity – an AI-powered search tool that provides detailed answers to your questions, complete with sources and citations. It synthesises information from multiple places for comprehensive responses.

These three AI systems work together to make your phone more helpful. They handle everything from suggesting actions at the right time to helping you find information quickly, editing your content and anticipating your needs.

Yes, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro has dual SIM capability, allowing you to use two phone numbers on the same device. It allows you to use 1 physical nano-SIM and 1 eSIM at the same time.

Dual SIM is useful for keeping work and personal numbers separate, adding a local number when travelling internationally or switching between different network providers based on the best deal or coverage in your area.

Check out our SIM only deals, with 5G included at no extra charge.

Yes, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is eSIM compatible.

An eSIM is a digital SIM that’s built into your phone, removing the need for a physical SIM card. You can activate new mobile plans digitally without needing to insert or swap SIM cards. This is especially helpful when you’re abroad – you can quickly add an international data plan without finding a shop or handling tiny SIM cards.

Combined with the physical nano-SIM slot, the eSIM gives you flexible options for managing two phone numbers or switching between networks on one device.

Find out more about eSIM technology

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro ships with Android 16 and will receive three OS updates and up to five years of security updates.
