Alongside iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro was announced on Wednesday 9 September 2026 and is available to pre-order on Saturday 12 September 2026. It’s available to buy from Friday 18 September 2026.

iPhone 18 Pro screen measures 6.3 inches and has a Super Retina XDR (High Dynamic Range) display. Its ProMotion technology offers a smoother and more responsive experience, with fast adaptive refresh rates of up to 120Hz.

It also features the optional Always-On functionality that launched with iPhone 17. This means a dimmed, full-colour version of your iPhone's lock screen will be available even when it's locked, so you can check the time and any notifications with a quick look. 

iPhone 18 Pro has an advanced Pro Fusion camera system, with all three rear cameras being 48MP. Unlike previous iPhones, the 48MP Fusion Main camera has variable aperture for improved low‑light photos and video and impressive depth of field. It also has an 18MP Centre Stage front camera, with front and rear DualCapture video. Plus, it can shoot video in 4K from 24fps up to 120fps with Dolby Vision.  

iPhone 18 Pro has an A20 Pro chip, which has a powerful 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 6-core CPU. It’s the same chip as iPhone 18 Pro Max.  

iPhone 18 Pro has a big leap in battery life – up to three more hours video playback than iPhone 17 Pro. With typical use the battery lasts for up to 23 hours, but it allows up to a whopping 34 hours of video playback, and up to 31 hours when streamed. iPhone 18 Pro also has faster wired charging, up to 50% in around 15 minutes with a compatible adapter.
