Vodafone Wi-Fi Calling for Business

We know there may be times when it’s hard to get a mobile signal – whether you’re in a rural location or a basement office, on the London Underground or inside an old building with thick walls. But a poor mobile signal no longer means missed opportunities. Make business calls anywhere there’s Wi-Fi, with Wi-Fi Calling.

Wi-Fi Calling is easy to set-up on your business phones. There are no apps and no separate hardware (like signal boxes) to install – and no additional charges* to use the service.

And once you or your employees have connected to the Wi-Fi Network, the phone will automatically switch over to Wi-Fi Calling when there's no mobile signal available, or if it drops below a certain threshold.

Wi-Fi Calling lets you call your customers, clients and colleagues without interruption. Business calls can be made as normal on the phone's regular number to any other phone, including those in the phone’s address book. And the person being called doesn't need to have Wi-Fi Calling.

* Calls made while using Wi-Fi Calling will be charged at the same rate as calls made on the Vodafone network according to your price plan.

When would you use Wi-Fi Calling?

There are plenty of times where having poor or no mobile signal can hinder your workers or your business. Here are some examples where Wi-Fi Calling will give your employees the connection they need.

v-car-hi

Field-based workers

Field-based employees who travel frequently within the UK, including locations with inadequate mobile coverage but where Wi-Fi is available, such as hotels.

Small offices

Smaller branch offices with up to 10 people which has Wi-Fi access but no mobile coverage.

Wi-Fi Calling is especially suitable for providing a smaller-scale equivalent to in-building coverage solutions (less than 10 users on a site), but isn’t a suitable replacement for larger and more complex in-building coverage requirements. Larger organisations should see our range of in-building solutions.
