Buying Apple Watch with cellular means you’ll be able to use your Watch to make calls, send and receive messages and use data for browsing your favourite apps – and you won’t need to have your iPhone on you or wait for WiFi.

To buy a smartwatch from us you need to have a compatible phone on one of our Pay monthly plans – this can be a phone or SIM only plan.

You’ll need to use the same network provider for your Apple Watch cellular plan and your iPhone plan to send and receive messages, answer calls and use apps on your Apple Watch.

That means you’ll need to be on a Vodafone Pay monthly plan – this can be a phone or SIM only plan - and then connect your watch to it with our OneNumber Connectivity Plan.

Apple Watch cellular lets you use your Apple Watch independently – without needing your iPhone or WiFi connectivity. Whereas Apple Watch with only GPS connectivity lets you do all the same things as cellular, but you’ll need your Watch to be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth or WiFi to do so. It’ll also work as a GPS tracker, and you won’t need your iPhone nearby to do so.

To set up and use a new Apple Watch, you'll need an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16 or later.

Apple Watch Series 9 has a water resistance rating of 50 metres under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. Apple Watch Series 9 should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth. Apple Watch Series 9 is also rated IP6X dust resistant. 
Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a water resistance rating of 100 metres under ISO standard 22810 and may be used for high-speed water sports and recreational scuba diving (with compatible third-party app from the App Store) to 40 metres. Should not be used for diving below 40 metres. For additional information, see support.apple.com/HT205000. Apple Watch Ultra 2 is also rated IP6X dust resistant.
