Find the information and resources you need to get started with Complete Connectivity.
Once your order has been placed with our sales team, we will do everything we can to get your service up and running as soon as possible. It can take up to 32 calendar days to get your hardware to you and get you connected to our broadband network.
Absolutely. Once you’ve placed your order, leave everything to us to sort out to migrate you from your existing Broadband provider. If you’re coming from a provider that doesn’t use the Openreach network (such as Virgin Media), then you will need to cancel your contract with them beforehand.
We certainly think so. Our standard package comes with two devices: a grey Vodafone broadband router and a silver Cisco Meraki WiFi device (which has our SIM card already inside). All you need to do is power up and plug your new Vodafone router into your wall or phone socket. Then, power up the Cisco Meraki WiFi device and using an ethernet cable (either the one provided or your own if you need a longer one), connect the LAN1 port on your Vodafone router to the Internet 1 port on your Cisco Meraki device.
Both routers will need a couple of minutes to perform some updates once connected to the internet. Once the Vodafone router shows a solid green light and the Cisco Meraki device shows a solid white light, you’re good to go. Start connecting your wired and wireless devices to the Cisco Meraki device using the WiFi name and password we sent to you via email and you’re all set.
You can check if your address gets good Vodafone mobile coverage anytime through our coverage checker here: https://www.vodafone.co.uk/network/status-checker
Before buying Complete Connectivity, our sales team will make sure to advise you on the 4G availability in your area so you can make an informed decision.
For pricing information for all contract lengths as well as our amazing extras, please speak to one of our sales team by calling the relevant phone number.
Our core package is perfect for a small office or area of approximately 30sqm (unobstructed) with around 10-20 users. If the office or site you want to cover is larger than this (or is roughly the same size but has thick internal walls), then we would recommend purchasing additional WiFi access points to increase your WiFi coverage.
No, Complete Connectivity doesn't provide you with a voice phone line. It provides you with professional grade broadband and WiFi connection to suit all your business data requirements.
Each device requires mains power and a data cable connected to the Meraki MX device. If you don’t have these available in the locations you want to install them, please speak to your local cabling contractor. Once you’ve ordered the devices, we will automatically add them to your account – so, once they have been powered up and connected to the Meraki MX device, they will automatically appear on the Meraki dashboard without any extra configuration from you.
At present, we don’t offer a managed service for Complete Connectivity – this has been designed as a self-setup, self-manage service. We’ve created helpful video content and tutorials to help you get up and running and make the most of your service.
Unfortunately, the following services won’t work when the Mobile Broadband Backup is being used:
Any Static IP addresses
Client VPN
Any other service running behind the Meraki MX device (e.g., hosting servers)
The Mobile Broadband Backup service should typically take between 30 seconds and 5 minutes to kick in and you won’t need to do anything to activate it. When you’re using the mobile data service, the Meraki MX device will have a constant purple light (as opposed to a white light when in normal function).
No, Vodafone provides a range of Meraki access points and cameras for purchase as add-ons for Complete Connectivity, if you want to extend your network. Customers aren't allowed to use any externally purchased or previously owned Cisco or Meraki devices on their Complete Connectivity service.
Yes, once you reach the end of your contract you will own the Cisco Meraki equipment.
All Cisco Meraki hardware requires a license to work (which we include as part of Complete Connectivity as standard). At the end of your contract, you can choose to renew your subscription with us (giving you new license(s) to keep the devices working and all the connectivity, too) or you can choose to purchase a license and connectivity from elsewhere.
You can add extra devices at any time during your contract period, however, each device has its own 1-, 2- or 3-year commitment period and won’t always align to your core package contract period. We’ll always aim to provide you with the commitment period that most closely aligns to your core package end date.
Setting up a wireless network for optimal coverage is a unique process for any given implementation, so there’s no one best answer. However, each device in the Meraki MR product line has its own coverage patterns. These patterns can be used as a general positioning guide, then an admin can select which radio channel to use for the least amount of interference. Furthermore, the outdoor MR units can be attached to an antenna to optimise coverage.
For more information on MR coverage patterns and suggestions for good coverage and avoiding interference, please consult the following article: Understanding Wireless Performance and Coverage
Vodafone will configure the most important security settings for you, so you don’t have to worry about configuring your own settings if you don’t want to. This will include Malware protection and spam prevention functions.
Additionally, through your Meraki Dashboard access you have the flexibility to change these settings to suit your corporate security requirements.
