Refurbished phones for business

Buying a refurbished phone from us isn’t the same as buying a second-hand phone from your friend or an auction site. All our Pay monthly refurbished phones come with a two-year warranty, plus, they’re Vodafone Assured - this means they have a 32-point health check to ensure they’re in full working order. They’re fully sanitised and any data left on them is totally wiped. And, for complete peace of mind, there’s a 14-day no quibble return policy.  
 
To reduce waste, our refurbished phones are shipped in recycled packaging, which will contain your chosen phone and a charging cable. AC adapters and headphones aren’t included.

When you get your refurbished phone, it will have undergone a 32-point health check to ensure it’s in full working order and ready for you to enjoy. Although we can’t predict how long your refurbished phone will last, you can rest assured that it’ll be protected against any manufacturer faults and repairs for two years, with our Total Care Warranty.

Our refurbished phones come in two types of condition:  Pristine or Great. Our refurbished phones in Pristine condition have no visible signs of use on the casing or the screen, whereas our refurbished phones in Great condition have minor signs of use on the casing or the screen, such as light marks or barely visible scratches.

All our refurbished phones are fully functional and in great condition. They’ve been through a 32-point health check covering battery, touchscreen, camera and more. Every one of our refurbished phones are fully sanitised and any data left on them is totally wiped – so your new phone is truly your own. 

Cosmetic checks are performed to determine if the phone is either Pristine or Great.

Our returns policy gives you 14 days to change your mind, whatever the reason, and you can cancel or return your order within 14 days from when you receive the order. Other charges may apply to use the Services until you cancel your order.

Vodafone Assured: means that all refurbished devices had a full diagnostic, visual check and deep clean by our third party refurbished suppliers.  Each device has had a number of extensive tests performed, to ensure it is fully functional – checking various components of the device, such as the screen, battery, camera ensuring it is 100% fully functional. Cosmetic checks are performed to determine if the device is either excellent or great. Friendlier to the planet​ 
Buying a refurbished phone has a lower carbon footprint than buying a new one​ 
Substantiation: 
A lifecycle assessment study (Pamminger, R., Glaser, S. & Wimmer, W., Modelling of different circular end-of-use scenarios for smartphones. International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment (2021) 26:470-482) found that a refurbished phone (used for an average 1.93 years) can have a 55% lower contribution to climate change (or ‘GWP’) compared to a new phone (used for 2.5 years) (according to the study results shown on page 479).  
 
Based on this study, buying and using a refurbished phone can be considered to be friendlier for the planet in comparison to buying and using a new phone, because it has a lower negative impact on climate change.

VAT
All business pricing is exclusive of VAT. The VAT rate payable is 20%.

5G

Annual price increase
Monthly price will increase each April by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation published in January that year, plus an additional 3.9%. This won’t affect your monthly Phone Plan payment. See more about annual price changes

Minimum term agreement, credit check and terms apply
Finance subject to status and credit checks. You must be aged 18 years or over. Direct Debit required.

Device Plan and Airtime Plan
A Device Plan is a credit agreement for the duration of the plan (3 to 36 months). You also need a monthly Airtime Plan (Xtra Plan) for the length of the Phone Plan. Device Plans up to 12 months need a 12 or 24-month Airtime Plan, and Device Plans over 12 months need a 24-month Airtime Plan.

You can pay off your Device Plan at any time without charge. You can then choose to keep your Airtime Plan or leave. If your Airtime Plan ends for any reason, you’ll need to keep paying your Device Plan, either in full or monthly.

Minutes and texts
To standard mobiles and UK landlines (01, 02, 03), standard texts in the UK, and our inclusive roaming destinations. A one-minute minimum call charge applies.

Data
A 25GB fair use data cap applies in all our inclusive roaming destinations on all Pay monthly plans, per 30-day period.

Unlimited data
Available on Unlimited Lite Plan (max download/upload speed 2Mbps), Unlimited Plan (max download/upload speeds 10Mbps) and Unlimited Max Plan. Speed may vary by a number of factors.

Upgrade from month 3
You need to buy a new Device Plan (which is a credit agreement) and Xtra Plan (which is an Airtime Plan) and also pay off the remaining amount on your current Device Plan before you upgrade. Subject to credit check, eligibility and terms.

1. Unlimited Picture Messaging (MMS) – in the UK and our inclusive roaming destinations.

2. Device Care – for the duration of the plan only. Applicable for IOS and Android phone devices. Includes a health check giving you an indicator of the battery health and a valuation service giving you an estimated resell value of the phone.

3. 50% off Smartwatch Connectivity – for compatible cellular (not WiFi only) smartwatches. Smartwatch Connectivity Plan (via Vodafone OneNumber) lasts for 30 days and automatically renews every 30 days unless cancelled. Discount not applicable to customers on an existing OneNumber Connectivity plan or on an existing 24-month watch plan.

4. Unlimited Data Booster – selected 24-month Xtra Plans come with 6 boosts and 12-month Xtra Plans come with 3 boosts. Each boost gives unlimited data for 30 days. Only available on limited data plans.

5. 83 Roam Free destinations (Global Roaming Plus) – roam at no extra cost in 83 destinations worldwide (Zones A, B and C) on selected Xtra Plans. See more roaming information and destinations. Only available on unlimited data plans.

Total Care Warranty
24-month warranty starts from the date you buy the phone from Vodafone, either on a Phone Plan or outright. Warranty only applies to manufacturer faults. This doesn’t apply to refurbished phones. See more about the device warranty

Battery Refresh
For phones purchased from Vodafone on a Phone Plan or outright, and available for the length of the plan (minimum of two years and maximum of three years).

Battery Refresh isn’t available for phones that have been cracked, smashed or have water damage (damage that wouldn’t be covered under a manufacturer warranty) and chargeable repairs can be offered. An appointment is required for a health check and battery replacements. Not available for Watch Plans or refurbished phones.
