Retail and Consumer Price Index adjustments for connectivity
We wanted to let you know that on 1 April 2022 we’ll be increasing the charges for reoccurring connectivity rentals for business customers. The price rise is in accordance with the Retail Price Index (RPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) rates published by the Office for National Statistics. Annually from 1 April 2022 we will adjust the amount business customers pay to reflect inflation, so we can continue to invest in our networks, products and services.
How does this affect you?
What is the Consumer Price Index (CPI)?
The CPI is a measure of whether the cost of goods and services is going up or down based on average price changes from across several industries. More information is available on the Office for National Statistics website – simply search CPI Office for National Statics.
The CPI increase at this time is 5.4%.
What is the Retail Price Index (RPI)?
The RPI is a widely recognised measure of the UK's general level of inflation and is used by many industries as a guide on whether to adjust prices, and by how much. More information is available on the Office for National Statistics website – simply search RPI Office for National Statics.
The RPI increase at this time is 7.5%.
Why are these price rises being implemented?
We understand that price increases are never great news, but like many businesses, we are facing a significant rise in the cost of running our network and providing our services.
Price rises are necessary to reflect these rising costs and the investment that we are making in upgrading our networks to keep customers connected.
When will I experience the price rise?
Our price rise is effective from 1 April 2022, meaning any invoices that are produced on or after this date, and include reoccurring connectivity rental charges, will reflect the increase.
Will this impact my other Vodafone Business products?
Other products from Vodafone Business will also reflect these price changes. If you need more information about exactly what will change for each of your purchases from us please speak to your Account Manager.
Are you changing my terms and conditions?
No, we are not making any changes to your terms and conditions.
Where can I go for more information?
You can find more information about the Retail and Consumer Price Indices on the Office for National Statistics website. For more information about how Vodafone Business deals with these changes, please contact your Account Manager.
