Yes, you can. Vodafone Global Roaming comes as standard with all Pay monthly plans bought on or after 12 April 2017. It lets you use your home plan of data, minutes and texts in 152 destinations worldwide.
In our 48 Roam-free destinations [PDF: 627KB] there’s no additional charge to use your UK allowances.
In our 104 Roam-further destinations [PDF: 810KB] we charge £5 a day to use your UK allowances (midnight to 11:59pm, local time, in the capital of the country you’re visiting. If you visit more than one Roam-further destination in 24 hours, your ‘day’ will be calculated as 24 hours, starting from midnight in the capital city of the original country.) You’ll only be charged on the days you use your device.
When you’re travelling in all other countries, standard roaming charges apply.
What if I joined before 12 April 2017?
We’re currently in the process of adding Vodafone Global Roaming to all Pay monthly plans that started before 12 April 2017. This service will be applied to your account by 31 August 2017 and there’s no additional cost, (apart from the £5 daily fee you’ll be charged if you use your device in a Roam-further destination). If you’ve opted in to WorldTraveller, it’ll be replaced with Vodafone Global Roaming during this time.
Once you’ve had Vodafone Global Roaming added to your account, we’ll notify you by text. You can also check if it’s been added in the My Vodafone app or in My Vodafone online. If you’re about to travel, but haven’t yet been notified, you can opt in by texting ADD to 40508 free of charge.
Note: regardless of when you joined, you can already use your home allowances of data, minutes and texts in our 50 Roam-free destinations with no additional charge.
