Business Broadband built for small businesses

With Single order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) for business your service is delivered using a fibre optic cable, which runs from your local telephone exchange to the street cabinet (also known as the primary connection point, or PCP). A copper cable is then run from the PCP directly into your property. SoGEA supports download speeds of up to 79 Mbps, but the actual speed your business will get is determined by the distance from your property to the telephone exchange and the PCP.

With Full Fibre broadband (FTTP/FTTH) your service is delivered using fibre optic cables which are connected directly into your premises, giving your business faster, more reliable connectivity whilst keeping costs down.

A responsible adult over the age of 18 will need to be present for the duration of the visit.

Some installations involve engineering work that requires permission from the property owner. Our installation partners will let you know if permission to work is required, and we’ll keep you updated throughout this process.

All our Business Broadband packages come with a new router at no extra cost. Our Pro II packages also come with a WiFi 6E booster and 4G back up device, which uses our mobile network to keep you online during disruptions.

Your business can use its own router, but we can only offer limited technical support with third party equipment. We strongly recommend your business use the equipment we've provided if possible.

We offer dedicated support to your business, which starts from the moment you place your order. Our specialist Kick Start team will support you through the 45 days of your Vodafone journey. You'll then have ongoing access to our dedicated Care and Technical teams.

All our Business Broadband packages include a digital phone line. It uses your business broadband connection to make and receive calls, which means you'll connect your handset to your broadband router rather than a telephone socket. 

If your business doesn't require a digital phone line, there's no need to connect a handset. If this changes in future, simply connect your handset, and you can start to use the service. 

Unfortunately, you cannot use a digital phone line for: 

• Voicemail Plus 

• Voicemail Premium 

• Conference Calling

The telecommunications infrastructure in the UK is being upgraded and the existing analogue network is due to be switched off by 31 January 2027. For this reason, we're no longer able to offer traditional (analogue) phone lines to our business customers.

If you've ordered a Full Fibre (FTTP/FTTH) service we'll provide you with a cable which will allow you to connect your existing handset to your router. If you've ordered a SoGEA service, we'll provide your business with a VoIP adaptor which will enable most handsets to be used with a digital phone line (VoIP).

A small number of handsets may not be compatible with digital phone lines (VoIP) in which case a new handset will be required.

In most cases you'll be able to transfer your existing landline number to Vodafone. This process is known as number porting and takes a minimum of 10 working days.

Following which it may take up to 48 hours for your digital phone service to be activated. If your existing landline number can't be ported to our service for any reason, we'll let you know.

Please contact your telecare provider for advice before placing an order with us. Your telecare provider will confirm if your telecare device is compatible with digital phone services (VoIP). If your telecare device isn’t compatible with VoIP, we’ll be unable to proceed with your order.

If you've asked us to take over your business existing line or port your existing landline number, we'll contact your existing provider to cancel their service on your behalf. However, if you're a customer of Virgin Media we'll be unable to do this for you. You'll need to contact Virgin Media and let them know you want to cancel.

If you’re still in contract with another provider:

We recommend you check the terms and conditions of your contract. Some providers may charge a fee for early termination if your business is still in contract with them.

You may decide to place an order even if your existing provider charges a fee – our low-cost Business Broadband package may still save you money.
