    Business Insurance is for Vodafone pay monthly small business customers with devices purchased directly from Vodafone, ideal for businesses who rely on their devices to stay connected with their teams.

    All the key information you need to understand and manage Business Insurance for business mobile devices.

    How do I get it?

    Business Insurance is available to Vodafone pay monthly small business customers with eligible Vodafone‑purchased devices.

    Eligibility

    Need to be a Vodafone small business customer with a device under 18 months old.

    Remove locking mechanisms

    Your insurance can be cancelled at any time, and if you cancel within the first 30 days, you won’t be charged any fees, and your first month’s premium will be refunded.

    You can add insurance to your Vodafone‑purchased device at any time within 18 months of buying it. You can include insurance during your original purchase, whether you're shopping in‑store, online or through a contact centre.


    If you’d like to add insurance later, just call our insurance team on 0333 304 3346. They’re available Monday to Friday, 8am–8pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9am–6pm.


    To make any changes to an existing policy, simply contact the team on the same number.

    Your insurance premium is charged each month and appears on your Vodafone bill. If you make a claim, the excess fee will also be added to your monthly invoice. Payments are taken using your usual payment method, such as direct debit.


    Your policy renews automatically every month, and you’ll continue to be charged the monthly premium until you decide to cancel it.

    An employee can make an insurance claim on your behalf as long as you’ve authorised them to use the device and they’re registered as a contact on your Vodafone account. When they call, they’ll need to complete security checks using their own name and security details.


    If the employee isn’t already set up as an account contact, you can add them by calling 191 and speaking to our care team. Both you and the employee will need to be available during this process, as the third party will be asked to create their security details while the registration is completed.

    We can only send a repaired or replacement device to a UK address. If you won’t be at your registered billing address, you can choose to have it delivered to another location, as long as it’s within the UK.


    You can also nominate someone else to receive the device on your behalf. However, deliveries to a nominated person can only be made to your registered billing address.


    If your device is being replaced within the first three months of purchase, we’ll only deliver it to your billing address.

    Rapid replacement is subject to the availability of the device that has been damaged, lost or stolen. For less popular devices, we may not be able to provide a replacement within four hours. In this case, you will be given the option for a four-hour replacement but with a different make and/or model of device or a next-day replacement. This will be discussed with you when making a Rapid claim.

    There are a small number of locations where a four‑hour delivery cannot be guaranteed. These are mainly in the Highlands and Islands. The affected postcodes are:

    
PH22, PH33, PA34, IV1-IV3, IV4, IV11, IV13, IV15, IV17, IV19, IV40, IV52, IV63, IV5, IV26

    Rapid is not available for deliveries to outdoor venues or events such as festivals, parks, or sporting events. If your delivery location is not eligible for Rapid, alternative arrangements will be discussed with you when you make your claim.

    Delivery time depends on the type of policy you have.

    Damage and breakdown:


    If you’re covered for damage and breakdown, we aim to return your repaired device within 5 working days from the moment it reaches our repair centre.

    Damage and breakdown with Rapid:

    If your plan includes Rapid, we aim to provide a replacement device within 4 hours, depending on availability and your location. If a 4‑hour replacement isn’t possible, a next‑day doorstep exchange will be arranged instead.

    Standard cover:
    If you have standard cover, we aim to return your repaired device within 5 working days of it reaching our repair centre. If your device has been lost or stolen, we aim to send a replacement by the next working day.

    Standard cover with Rapid:


    If your plan includes Rapid, all claim types are eligible for a 4‑hour replacement service, subject to availability and location. Please note that some devices and postcodes may not be eligible for the 4‑hour delivery window. For more information, see “What devices and areas are included with Rapid?

    You can make up to three successful claims within a 12‑month period. This 12‑month window starts from the date your first approved claim is processed.


    Once you’ve made three successful claims in that period, your policy will be automatically cancelled. Each successful claim is also subject to an excess fee, which will be added to your Vodafone bill.
