The largest non-metropolitan police force in England and Wales has the right tools to communicate effectively to fight crime.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) is responsible for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It serves a diverse population in both urban and rural areas, where the number of calls and quality of coverage can vary wildly.
Securing evidence on the scene can make the difference between success in court or no further action being taken. With that in mind, TVP chose us to equip frontline officers with smartphones connected to our 4G network. The use of cameras, email and other apps to gather and record evidence has made officers’ lives much easier and investigating crimes much quicker – and more likely to stand up in court.
“We now live in a digital world, and it’s really important the police service moves with that.” Nora Holford, Superintendent for Business Change, Thames Valley Police
