Pay as you go 1

There are multiple ways to join Pay as you go 1:

• Activate a Vodafone Pay as you go 1 SIM

• Opt in by calling 41146 free from your Vodafone mobile

• Log into your My Vodafone account and follow the steps

To use Pay as you go 1, you'll need to top up at least £5. This is the minimum top-up when you buy a Pay as you go 1 SIM.

If you buy it with a handset, the minimum top-up may be higher.

If you're a Pay as you go 1 customer, you'll need to pay extra for these calls, texts and data. Please see our Charges Guide for further information

• Calls to premium rate non-geographic numbers

• Non-standard 07 number

• Directory enquiries

• Roaming calls

• International calls

• Freephone 05 numbers

If you make any of these calls in the UK, before you're connected, you'll hear an automated message reminding you that you'll be charged extra.

Excluded texts

• Texts and picture messages (MMS) sent in or to countries outside the UK

• Texts to premium rate numbers

• Any data usage outside the UK or Zone A

Vodafone Pay as you go 1 is available to Pay as you go customers on a Vodafone Simply price plan. You can't use Pay as you go 1 together with any Freebies or other plans.

You may have a Big Value Bundle alongside Pay as you go 1, but different rates apply for anything outside your bundle, and your usage won't be capped.

If you opt in to Pay as you go 1, you'll automatically be opted out of your Big Value Bundle.

You have the following options for checking your Pay as you go balance:

1. Download the My Vodafone app to view and manage your data balance

2. Check online with My Vodafone

3. Dial *#1345# free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone to see your balance on screen

4. Call 2345 free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone to hear your remaining balance

5. If you don't have your mobile with you, call the Pay as you go credit line on 03333 048048 from any other UK mobile or landline (standard call charges apply)

• Top up over the phone on 2345 free from your Vodafone Pay as you go mobile

• To top up again, text TOPUP to 2345 with the amount you want to add and the last four digits of your payment card (for example, text TOPUP 10 1234 to add £10 using a card ending in 1234)

Top up automatically

It's simple to set up an automatic top up. You can even use it to stay topped up while you're abroad, or to top up someone else's phone.

Just download the My Vodafone app and choose Top up from the main menu and select Auto Top up.

Alternatively, you can call 18829 (free from your Vodafone Pay as you go mobile) from the mobile you want to register and make your initial top up. Then choose how often you want your top up to automatically activate - weekly, monthly or every 30 days.

If you're new to Vodafone, you can buy a Pay as you go bundle online, or in your nearest store. You’ll need to buy a Big Value Bundle or add £5 worth of credit to activate your SIM card – otherwise you won’t be able to make or receive calls, send or receive texts, use data, or use our network.

If you're a Pay as you go customer, you'll need to make sure you have enough credit in your account before you can opt into your chosen bundle. You can opt in by:

• Logging in to My Vodafone app

• Calling 4354 free from your Vodafone phone

• Texting BIGVALUE10, BIGVALUE15, BIGVALUE20, BIGVALUE30 or BIGVALUE40 to 2345, free from your Vodafone Pay as you go phone. You'll need to send the text from the phone you want to add the bundle to.

Please note: Once you've opted in to your Pay as you go bundle, you'll pay our standard Pay as you go rates if it expires and you don't renew, or if you opt out of your bundle early.

To keep your Pay as you go number active, you need to use it for at least one chargeable activity - like sending a text or topping up - every 180 days.

If you don't top up or use any credit for 90 days, we'll send you a text explaining that your account will expire in another 90 days.

To avoid this, simply use your phone for a chargeable activity after you receive the reminder text. This will let you carry on as normal with your current number.

However, if you don't use your phone within that 90-day period, your mobile number will be disconnected and will no longer work.

Vodafone Total Rollover lets you keep any unused data, minutes and or texts from your previous Pay as you go bundle, and use them in the next 30-day period.

You'll need to use any allowances that roll over within the next 30 days. Your allowance won't roll over more than once, so you can't save it for longer than 30 days.

You won't be eligible to roll over your allowance if:

• You renew you Pay as you go bundle early

• You switch to another Pay as you go bundle

• Your bundle doesn't automatically renew by the end of day 30 (due to not having enough credit in your account)

You could be charged more than £2 if you purchase more data or use data outside of the UK or Zone A, or make a call or send a text which isn't included in your Vodafone Pay as you go 1 plan.

The following services are not included in your Pay as you go 1 allowance:

• Premium and non-geographic calls or texts

• International calls

• Calls, messages or data usage from outside the UK or Zone A

We'll let you know each time you dial a number that's not included in your allowance so that you can choose whether to continue with the call.

Pay as you go Bundles (Big Value Bundle) excluding Unlimited Bundle: Unlimited minutes to standard mobiles and landlines (UK: 01, 02, 03), standard texts and a set allowance of data (excluding Extras) to use in the UK and Zone A. Last 30 days. Automatically renews every 30 days if you have enough credit. Opt out by calling 2345. Pay as you go Bundles are also known as Big Value Bundles. You must buy a Big Value Bundle, otherwise your SIM won’t be able to make or receive calls, send or receive texts, use data, or use our network. Total Rollover: Any unused allowance from your current Pay as you go Bundle will only rollover from one bundle to the next, for use in the next 30-day period, if your Pay as you go Bundle renews automatically.

Pay as you go 1: You'll pay just £2 each day you use your phone, which gives you: Unlimited minutes, Unlimited texts, 50MB of data to use until midnight. To activate your SIM, you’ll need to add a minimum of £5 credit or buy a Big Value Bundle. Pay as you go Plus

Pay as you go Plus plan: My Vodafone app required. UK and Zone A use only unless Roaming Extra purchased. Minutes to standard mobiles and landlines (UK: 01, 02, 03), standard texts and plan data allowance (excluding Extras). Auto-Renews every 30 days if opted in via My Vodafone app and payment card added. Purchase Extras and manage payments through My Vodafone app. Plan stops after 30 days if paused or cancelled (by opting out of Auto-Renew). If opted out and you do not choose another plan, you can only receive inbound calls and texts once your 30-day plan ends. You must opt back in and re-purchase a new plan to use data, minutes, send texts or buy Extras. To use our network, you’ll need to buy a £10 plan at a minimum. If you don't, your SIM won’t be able to make or receive calls, send or receive texts, use data, or use our network.

Roaming: Your data usage is for the UK and Zone A destinations only, unless you purchase one of our roaming extras in the My Vodafone app. Your extra will run until the day it expires (at 11:59pm UK time) or when it is used up, whichever is sooner.
