Installation is easy

It’s simple to get up and running with Gigafast – here’s how it works:

-We’ll deliver your router two days prior to your chosen installation day. 

-Your engineer will confirm their arrival time beforehand – please make sure someone over the age of 18 is at home when they visit.

-On the day, our engineer will let you know what they need to do to install your new line. Once you’re happy, put your feet up and let us take care of everything.

Our legal terms

Vodafone Gigafast Broadband and Home Phone services: Subject to acceptance and availability in your area. Subject to credit check, an 18-month minimum term agreement applies.


900Mbps average speed: We estimate that the majority of customers on our Gigafast 900 package will receive 900 Mbps average download and upload speeds through a wire connection. Speeds may vary significantly by location and are dependent on all equipment meeting minimum specifications, being fully functional and working at full speed. The range of wireless equipment can vary according to the layout of your home. Other factors can also impact internet speeds, such as distance of your home from the network exchange, the number of people using the internet, the level of use of the internet and other environmental and technological influences.


Installation: A new fibre line installation is required to your property. This may come at a cost even if you order during the pre-order stage. To find out if an installation fee will apply to your property, click ‘check availability’ at the top of this page.


Line rental: No line rental is required with all Vodafone Gigafast Broadband and Home Phone services.


Vodafone Broadband router: £0.00 router delivery charge applies.


Payment: Payment is by Direct Debit. Please note that VAT is included in the advertised prices and charges where required and is applied at the UK standard rate in force unless otherwise stated.


Vodafone Broadband App: Compatible Android/iOS device required for full functionality.


Download and upload time examples: Download and upload speeds were measured in testing conditions via a wire connection.

Vodafone Broadband router: We’ll provide a Vodafone Broadband router to any new customers who take Vodafone Gigafast Broadband and Home Phone service.


F-Secure (anti-virus software): Chargeable extra: free for first 6 months and chargeable for next 12 months at £39.99 (RRP £79.99). Covers up to 5 devices. Opt in and manual activation required at Some features may be modified and may not be compatible with certain operation systems. Please refer to the End User Licence Agreement with the relevant third party anti-virus software provider.


Downloading third party content: A copyright owner's permission may be required for downloading protected content. Downloading protected content without the copyright owner's consent may constitute a criminal offence. Please see the Vodafone Broadband Acceptable Use Policy for more details.


Content controls: Content controls are currently available to all Vodafone Gigafast Broadband and Home Phone customers. Content controls will be automatically set to off as default.

Call costs: Details of our call costs (including a complete list of all our premium rate and international call costs and charges) are set out in the detailed: Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone Price Plan


Line rental: No line rental is required with all Broadband and Home Phone services.


Evening and weekend calls: You may purchase extra call bundles allowing calls to certain numbers at particular times of the day. This is how we define these times:

           ‘Daytime’ is 7am to 7pm, Monday-Friday

           ‘Evening’ is 7pm to 7am, Monday to Friday

           ‘Weekend’ is all day Saturday and Sunday (midnight Friday to midnight Sunday)

            Please note that bank holidays are treated as normal weekends.


Anytime calls: Can be made during daytime, evening and weekend periods.


Inclusive calls: Are to standard UK landlines (starting 01, 02, 03) only. 60 minutes max duration per call; standard call charges apply after 60 minutes. You can hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes to avoid these charges.


Phone line: The Vodafone router provides the Gigafast phone line service. In the event of a power cut, it is likely that your phone line and broadband service will stop working. During this time, calls to the emergency services will not be possible. If you are reliant on your landline for reasons of vulnerability, we recommend contacting us to discuss an alternative mobile line.


Call connection charge: A call connection charge of 19p per call applies for all non-inclusive calls, unless otherwise stated.


Number Transfer: Our ability to transfer your number is subject to availability.


Subscription Features: Where a feature or feature bundle attracts a monthly subscription charge, you must retain the feature for a minimum of 30 days. Costs are detailed in this price plan.


Offers, promotions and discounts: Our offers and promotions are available to new Vodafone Gigafast Broadband and Home Phone customers only.

Price may change during your contract. Switch and Save: Save with Vodafone vs publicly available, out-of-contract non-promotional pricing (per month) of directly comparable competitors in Gigafast locations as of 11.02.2020.

Apple TV 4K on us: You will receive your Apple TV 4K device at the same time as receiving your Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub. Not all content is available in 4K. 4K resolution requires 4K-capable TV. Accessing Dolby Atmos features requires Dolby Atmos–capable devices.   

Apple TV+: Limited time offer. Subscription for 12 months included with Apple TV 4K. To benefit from your inclusive 12-month Apple TV+ subscription, you must activate Apple TV+ within 3 months of receiving your device.  One subscription per 'Family Sharing' group (up to six family members). After 12 months, your Apple TV+ subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the 12 months is up. No in-contract price rises: This is applicable to Gigafast 900 Extra Home Broadband contracts only. 

Anytime Landline and Mobile calls: Applies to the first 60 minutes of UK landlines (numbers beginning 01, 02, 03) and UK mobile numbers (numbers beginning with 07) which you dial directly. Inclusive calls are to UK mobiles only (this does not include other numbers that begin with 07 such as WiFi services etc.). If you wish to avoid additional call charges you should re-dial before 60 minutes have passed. Standard call charges apply if you exceed the 60-minute call cap. Full details can be found here
