How do I update my WiFi name and password?

You can update your Vodafone WiFi name and password in the Vodafone Broadband portal or Vodafone Broadband app. Please note: the Broadband app is for part-fibre or full fibre broadband customers only.

When you update your password, you’ll need to reconnect your devices.

Part-fibre or full fibre broadband

Vodafone Broadband app

  1. Check your WiFi is on

  2. Open your Vodafone Broadband app

  3. Go to the 'WiFi' section and tap the pencil icon

  4. You can edit the 'Network name' and 'Password' by tapping them

  5. Tap the tick to apply the changes

Vodafone Broadband Portal

Your device needs to be connected to the router either by WiFi or with a cable. We recommend doing these steps on a PC or laptop.

  1. Type 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar

  2. When you first log in, it'll ask you to reset or change the password

  3. Log in

  4. Choose 'WiFi' on the banner

  5. Scroll down to change your password and choose 'Apply'

5G Broadband

Your device needs to be connected to the router by WiFi. We recommend doing these steps on a PC or laptop.

5G Broadband with Indoor Hub:

  1. Type 192.168.0.1 in the browser address bar

  2. Log in using the Web UI details found on the base of your 5G Hub, or your user account details you created on setup

  3. Tap the ‘WiFi Basic Settings’ tab in the menu banner

  4. Scroll down to change your WiFi name (SSID), and password

5G Broadband with Outdoor Hub:

  1. Type 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar

  2. Log in using the Web UI details found on the base of your Power Hub, or your login password if you changed it from the default password

  3. When you first log in, it'll ask you to reset or change the password

  4. Choose ’WiFi’ on the menu banner

  5. Scroll down to ‘Setup’ and you’ll be able to change your WiFi name and password.
