Committed to growing rugby at all levels
Vodafone supports the growth of women's rugby in Wales
We're working with the WRU to support the continued growth of women's rugby, aiming to reach over 10,000 female players in Wales by 2026 through investment in grassroots clubs and programmes.
Vodafone's PLAYER.Connect is revolutionising player performance
Helping female players monitor performance and recovery, Vodafone's PLAYER.connect provides a holistic approach and enables a greater understanding of how female athletes can be better supported.
Vodafone is the new Principal Partner of Scottish Rugby
We’re excited to be a Principal Partner of Scottish Rugby, supporting both senior teams and the pathways system. This deal helps us connect the nation to the things they love.
Vodafone and Scottish Rugby
Our multi-year partnership with Scottish Rugby as Principal Partner will see Vodafone as the back of shirt sponsor of the Men’s and Women’s teams.
As part of the partnership, Scotland Women and the women’s pathway teams gain full access to Vodafone PLAYER.Connect, the landmark mobile-first platform that helps female athletes to understand the impact their menstrual cycle has on performance, wellbeing and recovery.
Vodafone and Welsh Rugby
We're proud that Vodafone is the Principal Partner of men's, women's and pathway (U20s and U18s) rugby in Wales, alongside front-of-shirt and back-of-short sponsorship. This partnership now includes Gwalia Lightning and Brython Thunder - two new Welsh women's rugby teams.
We're dedicated to growing rugby across all levels, and are committed to supporting player performance and welfare through innovative tech solutions like our PLAYER.Connect platform.
As a Digital Transformation Partner to Principality Stadium in Cardiff we'll use innovative tech solutions and the power of Vodafone 5G network to bring fans closer to the action.
Vodafone and Gloucester Hartpury
As part of a new multi-year partnership with reigning Premiership Women's Rugby Champions, Gloucester Hartpury Rugby, Vodafone will become the Performance Innovation Partner.
This will provide Gloucester Hartpury and its sister clubs, Hartpury University and Hartpury College WRFC access to Vodafone PLAYER.Connect, our landmark performance platform dedicated to female athletes.
Supporting player performance
Launched at the Lions South Africa Tour in 2021, our revolutionary PLAYER.Connect performance dashboard provides detailed analysis of wellness, training and match data. It also has menstrual cycle tracking technology, helping players analyse how their menstrual cycle impacts their performance, wellbeing and recovery.
We're excited to roll this technology out even further to the BUCS Super League universities, as part of the Vodafone EmpowHER programme.
