Broadband and mobile student discounts

Your student discount will last for the length of your contract period.

If you’re having trouble getting your student discount code to work, make sure:

• You’re not combining it with another discount code. Student discount codes are stand-alone and won’t work with another code.

• You haven’t used it already. All codes are one-time use only.

Your student discount code can only be used online, and not in one of our stores.

Depending on where you live, we can offer speeds of up to 50 Mbps or 150 Mbps. These speeds are great for streaming, video calls, gaming, and working from home. Speeds can vary based on network coverage, signal strength, and how busy the network is at the time.

5G Broadband is reliable for everyday home use, and suitable for streaming, scrolling, working from home, and gaming. Because it’s wireless, speeds can fluctuate at times based on signal strength, how far you are from the mast and how busy the local network is at any given time. Placing your 5G Hub or Outdoor Hub in the best position possible will help maintain a stable, reliable connection.

It depends on what your needs are, and what area you’re in. Full fibre broadband can offer great speeds and consistent connection but often requires an engineer or a more complex set up, and may not be available in your area. 5G Broadband offers quicker setup, doesn’t need a phone line, and is often available in areas that fibre broadband isn’t. 5G Broadband is also more flexible, offering 1-month rolling plans.

Traditional broadband connects your home to the internet using copper cables, or fibre cables, and usually comes with the option of a landline phone. 5G Broadband connects your home to the internet using our 5G network – the same network your phone uses – and works wirelessly.

5G Broadband is a great alternative to traditional broadband for gaming, offering fast download speeds, low latency and competitive ping rate. Casual and console gamers should feel well supported with 5G Broadband, but if you’re a serious or competitive gamer, you might want to look at our Pro Broadband

To qualify, you must be enrolled at a UK educational institution, complete the online form, have a .ac.uk email or valid student documentation, log into your educational portal, and be verified by GoCertify, Student Beans or Unidays. The discount applies to 5G Broadband 12-month contracts only. After initial 12 months, discount no longer applies, and you will pay full price for your plan.
