What are the latest Apple Watches?

The latest Apple Watch models are as Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3rd generation - these were released on 19 September 2025.

The Series 10 was released 20 September 2024, with Series 9 and Ultra 2 being released 22 September 2023.

An Apple Watch can help you track your health

You can stay on top of your fitness through tracked metrics on an Apple Watch.

Step count

An Apple Watch automatically tracks your step count. Your watch will tell you how many steps you’ve done, which you can compare to previous days within the Fitness app on your iPhone. Your watch will also measure your walking speed and step length - a detailed analysis of these stats can be viewed in the Apple Health app.

Sleep cycle

Simply wear your Apple Watch to bed and it will estimate the time you spent in each sleep stage – REM, Core, Deep and the time you spent awake. The sleep app will record your data so you can monitor your sleep patterns. Later models (Series 9 or later, Ultra 2 or later, and SE 3) offer sleep apnoea notifications.

Blood pressure

The latest Series 11 and Ultra 3 Apple Watches offer Hypertension notifications. These use sensors to detect patterns of high blood pressure. The Apple Watch Ultra and Series 4 and later also give you the ability to take ECG readings so you can check for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) and track your heart rhythm.
