You can use Apple Pay on your iPhone and Apple Watch for payment in shops, restaurants, petrol stations and more. Using Apple Pay on your iPhone:
If your iPhone has Face ID, double-click the side button to access your default payment card. You may be prompted to authenticate using Face ID or your passcode. If your iPhone has Touch ID, simply double-click the home button.
To choose a different payment card, tap on your default card to see the list of cards you have added to your Apple Wallet. Tap on your chosen card to authenticate.
Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see the word ‘Done’ and a tick appear on the display.
Using Apple Pay on your Apple Watch:
Double-click the side button to access your default payment card.
Turn the digital crown to scroll down and choose another card from your Apple Wallet.
Hold your Apple Watch display near the contactless reader until you hear a beep. Your watch display will show the word ‘Done’ and a tick to confirm that payment has been made successfully.
You can also use Apple Pay for online purchases on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Simply lookout for Apple Pay as a payment option at checkout and follow the instructions on your display to confirm payment. You may be prompted to enter your billing, delivery and contact information which will be stored by Apple Pay for future purchases.
There’s no set limit on Apple Pay purchases, however certain retailers may not allow the use of Apple Pay for purchases over £100.
You can change your Apple ID password on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch:
Go to Settings and select your name.
Choose Password & Security, then Change Password.
Enter your device passcode or current Apple ID passcode when prompted.
Type in your new Apple ID password, which must be at least 8 characters long, and include a number, an uppercase letter and a lowercase letter.
You will need an Apple ID to sign in to the App Store and other Apple services, such as iCloud.
To create an Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad or Mac:
Open the App Store (On iPhone and iPad) or Settings (On Mac) and tap the sign-in icon.
Select Create New Apple ID (On iPhone and iPad) or Create Apple ID (On Mac) and enter the email address you’d like to use.
Create a strong password and set your device region.
Enter your credit card information or select None if you do not plan on making any purchases.
Provide your billing address and confirm your phone number.
Check your inbox for a verification email sent by Apple.

Roaming: using your home data plan to roam in Zone A is included in all of our Pay Monthly plans. For roaming in other destinations, charges will apply depending on which plan you are on.
Roaming Passes: For Pay Monthly customers without European roaming included in their plan, you can purchase an 8 or 15 day European roaming pass to use your monthly UK allowance of calls, texts and data in our Zone B destinations. The 8 day pass is £10 and the 15 day pass is £15. Out of bundle charges such as picture messages, premium calls or premium texts are not covered by this charge. Buying a refurbished phone has a lower carbon footprint than buying a new one
Substantiation:
A life cycle assessment study (Pamminger, R., Glaser, S. and Wimmer, W., Modelling of different circular end-of-use scenarios for smartphones. International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment (2021) 26:470-482) found that a refurbished phone (used for an average 1.93 years) can have a 55% lower contribution to climate change (or 'GWP') compared to a new phone (used for 2.5 years) (according to the study results shown on page 479).
Based on this study, buying and using a refurbished phone can be considered to be kinder to the planet in comparison to buying and using a new phone, because it has a lower negative impact on climate change.
