5G phones at Vodafone
5G lets you experience speed on your smartphone like never before. Make a call or use your data even when it’s busy - on station platforms, in stadiums and at festivals. Download films and music in seconds, not minutes, stream 4K video with hardly any buffering, and rely on 5G for smooth HD video calls.
To experience the speed and reliability of 5G, you'll need a 5G-compatible phone to be able to use the network. You'll also need a 5G plan, which you can pick after you've chosen your phone, and you'll need to be in an area with 5G coverage. If you are using 5G and you move into an area that only has a 4G, 3G or 2G signal, your phone will automatically swap to that instead. It will switch back to 5G as soon as a 5G signal is available.
You can check to see if your area has 5G coverage, and see which cities in the UK have 5G coverage
5G SIM only plans
If you already have a 5G-enabled phone and you need a new SIM card and data plan, our 5G SIM only plans are designed to maximise the speed capability of your 5G phone in a 5G area.
To access the speed and power of 5G, you'll need to choose either:
A Red SIM only plan that has 5GB of data or more - choose from our 24 month and 12 month 5G SIM only contracts
Our Unlimited Max plan which offers super-fast downloads, UHD streaming and no data worries. Our Unlimited Max with Entertainment bundle plan comes with a variety of entertainment options.
You'll need to be in an area with 5G coverage to access 5G. If you're in an area that doesn't have 5G yet, your 5G SIM only plan will automatically switch to our 4G network or WiFi.
5G on Pay as you go
