Leaving Vodafone

We’re sorry to see you go

To make your transition as smooth as possible, remember to:

Keep your direct debit open

Most of our out of contract customers get money back on their final bill, because we charge bills in advance. Keep yours open until your final bill is settled and you might get some money back.

Check if your phone is locked

Most of our phones are already unlocked. Try using a SIM from another network in your phone – if it works, your phone is already unlocked. If your device is still locked, you’ll need to request a Network Unlock Code (NUC) to use another network.

Other useful information

When you text us to get your switching code, you also need to send us your 4-digit account PIN.

To do this, text PAC or STAC (caps) + PIN. For example – PAC 1234

  • Include a space between PAC or STAC and PIN

  • Type PAC or STAC in caps

  • Ensure you send to 65075 (for PAC) or 75075 (for STAC)

I need more information

Once you’ve used your PAC or STAC code to switch, any remaining credit or Big Value Bundles on your Pay as you go account will be lost.

Don’t forget: Before you use your PAC or STAC code, use up your remaining credit and cancel your automatic top ups.

Your ETF – or Early Termination Fee – isn't a fee for leaving. It's what's left of the outstanding monthly charges we agreed as part of your contract. Understand more about your ETF

See our cancel your account page for information about switching network or cancelling your account.
