The PayPal Here card reader uses Bluetooth to pair with your device. Your phone or tablet – with the PayPal Here app installed – processes transactions using a 5G, 4G, 3G or WiFi connection. The PayPal Here card reader works exclusively with the PayPal Here app. You can download the app, free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You will also need to have an active PayPal account for it to work.

There’s a single upfront fee of £54 to add PayPal Here to your account. This covers the cost of the PayPal Here card reader. After that, you won’t pay any monthly fees to use your PayPal Here – instead, you’ll pay a small percentage fee to PayPal for each payment made.
