If you’re buying a new plan or upgrading, you can choose your business add-ons before checkout. If you already have a business mobile plan, login to My Vodafone to add it to your plan.

For new customers Speed Boost is included with our Pay Monthly Unlimited Xtra Global Roam Plans, and as an add-on for all other Pay Monthly plans.

Speed Boost is an always-on benefit included with a Pay Monthly Unlimited Xtra Global Roam plan.

Once your plan is active, Speed Boost is automatically enabled. You can check if it’s active by looking for the Speed Boost active label in the Usage tab of the My Vodafone app.

Speed Boost gives your mobile data higher priority, so you’ll experience the fastest speeds available and a higher priority for your mobile data traffic when the network is congested.

Performance may vary depending on coverage, movement, weather, radio interference or physical obstructions, such as buildings or trains. It still works in low coverage areas, but the benefits are most noticeable during high-demand periods.

If you have a speed-capped plan including Unlimited (up to 10 Mbps) or Unlimited Plus (up to 100 Mbps), then Speed Boost will prioritise your mobile data connection to provide the fastest speeds available up to these speed caps.

Speed Boost can be active while you’re connected to the 4G, 5G or 5G Ultra mobile network.

If you're connected to Wi-Fi, Speed Boost is still technically active, but it won’t have any effect as you're not using mobile data. This means you won’t experience the benefits, and it won’t count toward your monthly data cap.

Speed Boost has limits in place to reduce the likelihood of impacts on Vodafone customers that haven’t added Speed Boost to their plan.

High demand and low coverage can both slow down your mobile data, but for different reasons.

  • High demand happens when many people use the same network tower at once, such as in stadiums and train stations. This can cause slower speeds and poor connection. Speed Boost helps in these situations by prioritising your data.

  • Low coverage means you're far from a network tower. This can have similar negative impacts on your connection, but Speed Boost won’t help in these cases. Visit our network status checker to check your area for coverage.
