iPhone XR vs iPhone SE

Which one is best for you?

iPhone SE was a hugely popular release for Apple in 2016, returning to the classic square-edged iPhone design, and delivering a compact model which can easily be operated with one hand.

But while iPhone SE may look like an old-generation iPhone, Apple loaded it with lots of fresh tech, including its fast A9 processor. Still, that was 2016, and Apple have hardly been sleeping since then. iPhone XR’s screen is a third bigger than iPhone SE’s, and although it is an LCD display, Apple have found a way of stretching it to the edges of the phone, doing away with the old bezel and keeping the overall phone size down.

Both models sport a 12-megapixel camera, but Apple’s powerful new A12 Bionic chip provides a number of superb in-camera processing tools – Smart HD technology enables much improved low-light photography, and Depth Control allows you to change depth-of-field after taking a portrait, giving your shots a professional feel.

iPhone SE retains a cult following thanks to its size and retro styling, but if you don’t mind a bigger phone in your pocket, the feature-packed iPhone XR is an excellent choice.
