iPhone XR vs iPhone SE

Which one is best for you?

iPhone SE was a hugely popular release for Apple in 2020, returning to the much-loved classic square-edged iPhone design, and delivering a compact phone which can easily be operated with one hand.

Even though iPhone SE may look like a classic older iPhone, Apple has loaded it with lots of fresh tech, including its fast A13 Bionic Chip with a third generation Neural Engine – a step up from the iPhone XR’s A12 Bionic Chip. iPhone XR’s 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD screen is much bigger than the iPhone SE 4.7-inch Retina HD display, but both phones have a glass and aluminium design, a single rear 12-megapixel Wide camera with portrait lighting, and are splash, water and dust resistant. The iPhone SE has twice as many portrait lighting features as the iPhone XR, but both phones have enough to keep you going with contour, natural, and studio filters.

Both models sport a 7-megapixel front camera with a ƒ/2.2 aperture and Retina Flash for improved definition in low light. The iPhone XR also comes with Smart HDR for added detail, as well as an extended dynamic range for video at 30 frames per second.

iPhone SE still has a cult following thanks to its smaller size and retro styling, but if you don’t mind a bigger phone in your pocket and you want more battery power, the feature-packed iPhone XR is an excellent choice.
