iPhone XS Max vs iPhone 8 Plus

Which one is best for you?

Released in 2017, iPhone 8 Plus was Apple’s third generation of plus-sized phones. Like iPhone 6 Plus and 7 Plus which preceded it, iPhone 8 Plus’s LCD display measured 5.5 inches. Building on the success of those previous models, it boasted a glass construction to enable wireless charging, and faster processing speeds thanks to its six-core A11 chip.

iPhone XS Max represents a significant leap forward in features and functionality. The stunning 6.5-inch screen may be a full inch bigger than its predecessors, but the OLED technology, which confers improved saturation and contrast, also allows for an edge-to-edge display, maximising space and keeping the phone pocketable.

The camera has been updated too, with iPhone 8 Plus’s snapper giving way to an improved dual-lens camera with new features like Apple’s Smart HDR to help the amateur photographer make their snaps look professional. Check out our feature guide to decide which phone is for you.
