Galaxy S8 Plus vs Galaxy S7 edge

Which one is best for you?

The Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S7 edge are the big brothers of the S8 and S7. If you’re looking for a large screen, both have plenty to offer – but the S8+ wins hands-down when it comes to size.

At 6.2 inches it’s just a fraction smaller than Samsung’s premium Galaxy Note 8, while the S7 edge trails in at just 5.5 inches. And while the S8+ is a little taller than the S7 edge, it’s only a fraction wider – so it’s still comfortable to hold.

Both the S7 edge and S8+ have 12-megapixel front facing cameras, but the S8 has a new feature that captures three images and selects the clearest, resulting in sharper photos. The front-facing camera has been upgraded on the S8, too, from 5 to 8 megapixels, and now has auto-focus to make your selfies look better than ever.

The S8+ has double the internal memory of the S7 edge, with a hefty 64GB of storage for all your music and videos. It also has some cool new features – including iris recognition, letting you unlock your phone both securely and easily, and the new Bixby personal assistant that’s integrated into the operating system. The S7 edge still has plenty to offer, but if you really want the big screen experience, the S8+ delivers that and more.
