When you become a Vodafone Together household, we will give someone living in digital poverty free connectivity for up to a year.

We'll connect a person in need for every Vodafone Together household

When you become a Vodafone Together household, we'll give someone living in digital poverty free connectivity for up to a year through our charity partner, the Trussell Trust.

The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity, founded in 1997, that supports those in financial distress through its UK-wide network of more than 1,300 food banks. We’ll work with them to connect the people they support.

Connecting people to our mobile network in partnership with the Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity, founded in 1997, that supports those in financial distress through its UK-wide network of more than 1,300 food banks. For many people at food banks, being unable to afford essentials like mobile connectivity prevents them from being able to access vital support services and stay in touch with loved ones. The Trussell Trust is an ideal partner for Vodafone, as they are supporting those in need every day.

FAQs

Buy One Give One is a Digital inclusion programme to allow us, with the support of our customers, to help connect those in digital poverty.

It’s linked to our Vodafone Together proposition. For every Vodafone Together household, we’ll give connectivity to somebody in need, connecting them to our mobile network in partnership with the Trussell Trust.

Buy One Give One is part of our broader commitment at Vodafone UK to give connectivity to one million people by the end of 2022 to make sure that no one is left behind due to digital poverty. To find out more about this commitment visit our everyone.connected page.

We are working in partnership with the Trussell Trust to donate SIMs across their network. They will be able to allocate SIMs to their service users who need access to connectivity.

The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity, founded in 1997, that supports those in financial distress through its UK-wide network of more than 1,300 food banks. This makes the Trussell Trust an ideal partner for Vodafone, as they are supporting those in need every day.

For each Vodafone Together household we will donate 1 SIM to connect to our mobile network. Each SIM will come with 20GB data and unlimited voice and texts and will renew every 30 days for an initial six month period. These SIMs are compatible with any smartphone, tablet and other devices that have a SIM card port. The Trussell Trust may provide an additional SIM with 6 months’ connectivity to people in need.

The number of SIMs we will be donating is directly linked to the number of existing and new Vodafone Together households. We will make a donation on behalf of each of our new and existing Vodafone Together households.

We will distribute SIMs as quickly as possible to the Trussell Trust in line with their operational and our network capacity, but we will start distributing SIMs in Summer 2021.

Currently we are working in partnership with the Trussell Trust to distribute these SIMs. Over time we will look to work with other charities where appropriate.

We will also have a new programme coming soon called charities.connected that will allow charities to apply directly for free connectivity that they can use to support their digital inclusion programmes. So once this is live please share with any charities you know or support to encourage them to apply.

Simply purchase Vodafone Pro Broadband and an eligible airtime plan to save up to £3 a month. Still in a contract? No problem, simply add the plans you need when you need them. Find out more about Vodafone Together here.

Yes, we are including all Vodafone Together households in this programme, both existing and new. You don’t have to do anything, we will make the donation on your behalf and will be reaching out to you to let you know that this is happening. If you’re unsure whether or not you are already a Vodafone Together Household, please have a look at your latest bill as it will be stated there.
