iPhone 11 Pro vs iPhone XS Max

Which one is best for you?

Released in 2018, iPhone XS Max was Apple’s fabulous phablet, succeeded by iPhone 11 Pro Max in 2019. iPhone 11 Pro is the smaller version, and a superb flagship phone.

Wrapped in a stylish glass and aluminium shell, iPhone XS Max sports a big 6.5-inch OLED screen, perfect for streaming movies and online gaming. iPhone 11 Pro is a much smaller phone – its 5.8-inch OLED display encased in frosted glass and stainless steel. iPhone XS Max sports a 12+12-megapixel dual lens camera system, with wide and telephoto lenses. iPhone 11 Pro has a similar set up, but with an added 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens to maximise your field of view.

The A12 Bionic chip running iPhone XS Max has been upgraded, with the A13 chip providing faster GPU and CPU. While the batteries are a similar size, advances in power management mean that iPhone 11 Pro should last a couple of hours longer than iPhone XS Max.

If you’re after a powerful iPhone with a big screen, iPhone XS Max remains a solid choice. The smaller iPhone 11 Pro is a more advanced smartphone with a better camera.
