V by Vodafone introduces a range of smart devices that lets you keep track of the things that you care about.

V-Sim Subscription

30-day price plans. Our V-Sim provides worry-free pricing with a fixed price to connect all your devices to the Vodafone network and the 30-day price plans give you the freedom to pause your next month’s subscription if you ever want a break. Which means you only pay when you want to use your devices.

V-Sim subscriptions are charged to your mobile (if you are a Vodafone mobile customer) or your debit/credit card for non-Vodafone mobile customers. A range of devices will be available to purchase with V-Sim connectivity built-in or you can purchase the V-Sim separately to use in other smart devices.




Services provided and Limitations
. Your V-Sim subscription provides connectivity services for your smart device. You select the appropriate plan depending on your smart device. Your subscription includes data at a level determined in accordance with the price plan for your selected device. Where SMS is supported it is unlimited. Voice services are only available as an ancillary service and in a restricted form in conjunction with specific smart devices. Your V-Sim must only be used for its intended purpose and won’t work if inserted in traditional devices such as smartphones, tablets, or mobile broadband devices.

Use when you need it: You can activate and deactivate your V-Sim at any time. Your plan will auto-renew on a 30-day basis.

Changing Plans. You are able to move the V-Sim to a new device of the same type (as detailed in the price plan table above). If you move the V-Sim to a device of a different price plan type, you may receive a notification that the usage is higher than expected and be asked to change your plan.

You can deactivate a plan and then, following the previous plans termination (which shall occur at the end of the 30-day anniversary of the date you subscribed which follows your termination), reactivate the same V-Sim on a different price plan.  If we notify you that excessive usage has been detected failure to change your plan may result in our termination of your V-Sim subscription.

Out of Country Use. When you’re outside the UK you can use your V-Sim within these territories at no additional cost:

Aland Islands, Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canaries, Ceuta, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Melilla, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Saint Martin, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

When you’re outside the UK you can use your V-Bag Tracker TrackiSafe Luggage Tracker within these territories at no additional cost:

V-Sim may not operate outside of the territories listed above. In addition, some devices may not support full global roaming due to technical issues. As availability may change from time to time please check before travelling with either the third party device provider or Help and Support.

Acceptable Use. All V-Sim plans have no out of bundle charges and are designed for specific devices to give simple pricing with no hidden costs. We retain the right to suspend or terminate your tariff where we have reasonable grounds to believe that for example:

(i)       you are using a V-Sim other than for the intended purpose (e.g. you are using V-Sim in a device that provides internet browsing functionality); or

(ii)      you have selected a price plan that does not match your actual usage (where your data use exceeds your selected plan expectations as reasonably set by us) For example if you state in the activation process that your device is a low data demand tracker but in fact the V-Sim is used in a high data demand camera).

Excessive Usage Notification - You will receive a notification where excessive usage is detected in any given 30-day subscription period. Initial notification will take place via the V by Vodafone app to inform you where your usage is excessive. You will need to check you are on the correct tariff. Failure to take action may result in our termination of your V-Sim and require you to set up a new subscription. If you do not have the V by Vodafone app or have deleted the app you will not receive the first notification prior to suspension or termination. Where termination occurs due to excessive usage you will not be entitled to any credit for the remaining days left of your subscription.

Unauthorised devices: Please note your price plan subscription will remain active and unchanged even if an unauthorised device is detected. The V-Sim won’t work in the device but will work in any other valid device and your subscription will continue to auto-renew until deactivated by you.

Other V by Vodafone Subscriptions

The V by Vodafone range also includes smart devices that don’t require a V-Sim but do still require subscription in order to activate the V by Vodafone service and access the device’s full functionality.

The monthly subscription charge for the category of devices in the table above will either be (i) added to your Vodafone mobile bill or taken from prepaid credit; or (ii) where available in respect of non-Vodafone mobile customers, charged to your debit/credit card. The first payment will be taken as and when you activate the device (and on a 30-day basis thereafter) and your plan will continue to roll on a 30-day basis at the end of your minimum period until terminated by you. You will need to provide us with 30 days’ notice of termination.

Termination Fee

The category of devices in the table above will be subject to a termination fee if you cancel your subscription after your first 30 days’ but whilst within your minimum period, please see your product specific terms and conditions for further details.

This fee is based on your monthly price plan charge and the remaining time left on your Agreement. The calculation below details how you can work out how much this will be:

Monthly subscription charge (exc. VAT) X remaining contract (months) X 98%

General Information

All prices are correct at the time of print and are inclusive of VAT. Where there is a conflict between the pricing information in this Charges Guide and the pricing on the V by Vodafone then the pricing information in our Charges Guide will take priority.

 V-Sim Service Plan vouchers

The following terms apply when you activate a V by Vodafone product with a V-Sim Service Plan voucher:

This offer is available from 1 January 2020 and is only available to UK residents aged 18 years or over. This offer applies to all V by Vodafone products except for the V-Home service.

This offer, provided by Vodafone Ltd allows you, subject to the terms and conditions, to access the V-Sim Service (‘Service’) for the initial free period stated on your V-Sim Service Plan voucher. The initial free period commences on the date you register your product on the V by Vodafone app and sign up to the Service. If you do not have a Vodafone mobile plan you will be required to enter your payment details when you sign-up. In order to apply the offer to your account, please apply the voucher code on the payment confirmation page when prompted in the V by Vodafone app.

By using this offer voucher and signing up to, the V-Sim Service you accept: a) these offer terms; b) the V by Vodafone product terms; c) the V-SIM terms; and d) our Privacy Policy. Full terms and our Privacy Policy can be found at www.vodafone.co.uk/terms-and-conditions

After the offer period, you will automatically be charged the amount stated in the V by Vodafone app for the specific V by Vodafone product on a rolling 30-day basis until you choose to cancel using the payment method you provided when you signed up to the Service. You can cancel the V by Vodafone service at any time in the V by Vodafone app.

For full functionality, a 30-day V-SIM plan, Vodafone network coverage and GPS signal are required. V by Vodafone products (except V-Auto and V-Pet) must be activated via the V by Vodafone app (available on Android and iOS devices only).

Vodafone reserves the right to suspend, restrict or review the offer without notice if we believe it is being used in a way we do not allow or if your use is fraudulent or a law or regulation is passed which means we need to do so. No cash alternative is available and the offer is non-transferable by the customer. This offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer.
